The Fortress by Zempire is exactly what it says on the tin! It is the perfect base to enjoy your camping experience from. Whether it’s rain or shine this Inflatable Canvas tent is built to be there. Zempire have used their Oversized Air Frame which is more durable and stable than traditional pole systems while being faster to pitch. Once you own one of Zempire’s Air Canvas Series you won’t want to own anything else. The Fortress is styled on a traditional layout where all the bedrooms are positioned at the back of the tent to maximise the living space. An open canopy is pre-attached but can also be enclosed by purchasing the Air Elite Sunroom which would result in increasing your sheltered area by a third.

Even though the Fortress can sleep up to a maximum of 12, we honestly feel it is a very generous 4 berth or an 8 berth if you are happy not to have a main living area. As with all of Zempire’s tents, ventilation is key. Not only do you get to sleep under a breathable fabric but every panel also has a built-in ventilation, be it via a zip down window cover or bedroom gusset which allows you to have airflow while retaining privacy. The latest V2 (version 2) model is now completely inflatable and we would recommend purchasing an electric pump so you can truly sit back, relax, and watch your tent go up. The optional electric pump would also help to make sure you inflate the tent to the correct pressure. A single inflation point takes the hassle out of moving the pump while several deflation points aid you to get it back in the bag every time.

One of the things we do love about the Zempire Fortress is all of the individual features that is has, from the 3-way windows where you can choose ventilation, privacy or vision allowing you to create the set up you want. Another iconic feature is 360-degree fold away main door with a built-in mesh section to allow airflow without the bugs coming inside. One of our favourite features is the ability to double up the side doors as sun canopies with some additional king poles, this creates an extra shaded area and provides more airflow on warmer days.

We see the Fortress V2 Air Tent as Zempire’s flagship tent and it has every feature available. We expect to see a lot of campers with the Fortress on permanent pitches throughout the summer.
