The Vango Tryfan has been in their technical tent range for a few years and for the new season Vango have improved the tent yet again. One of the biggest aspects of the Tryfan is its sturdiness and design. The tent is dome shaped which gives it support from all angles and because there are another two poles stretching the length of the tent you have the ability to have airflow into the tent without worrying about the weather coming in. Mesh panels can be found at the foot and head of the tent to reduce condensation and make the tent more comfortable to be in.

The Tryfan sits in Vango’s new Earth Trek Collection which has been designed to be environmentally friendly and durable. The entire range is made from single use plastics and every tent has an equivalent plastic bottle total to help show what Vango can create from just a small amount of waste. The Protex Eco fabric has a waterproof rating of 3,000mm HH and UV protection factor of UPF30+. The material has been designed to be lightweight and durable as we have come to know and love from Vango’s Trekking tents.

The Tryfan is available in two sizes; either a 200 or a 300 and both give great internal space. From a pitching point of view the tent can be erected by one person in a matter of minutes and it also has the flexibility to be used without the flysheet on those really hot camping days. Vango have used high end PowerLite T7001-T6 Alloy Poles for a lightweight pack weight while retaining a robust structure. Doors are positioned on each side of the tent so you have easy access regardless of which way the weather is turning. The same door has an eyelet built into it so you can utilise your walking pole to create a canopy for even more shelter.
