The Vango Omega tent range has been the ideal candidate for your D of E expeditions for over a decade now, and with every new season they cement this further! We believe that their success lies in the sheer amount of internal space you receive with these tents.

A trek tent is traditionally very lightweight and compact, only really allowing room for the occupants to sleep, but then you end up crammed into a shared space with little room thanks to your rucksack and camping equipment. The Omega tents use a more modern tunnel tent design, providing an additional front section for storing your belongings and getting ready in the mornings in privacy. This does come at the cost of some additional weight, but the balance of trail weight and space more than makes up for this.

The Omega tents are available in two sizes, a two-berth and a three-berth option, and both of them are recommended kit to help you get your Bronze, Silver and Gold awards with the Duke of Edinburgh's award. These tents utilize Vango's updated Protex® Eco polyester, now with a new style and a ripstop grid throughout to reduce the severity of tears and damage. The Protex® Eco fabric has been crafted using recycled single-use plastic woven into polyester thread.

The flysheet and inner pitch together to reduce pitching time, and helps to make the process more simplistic overall for easy mastery. The colour-coded PowerLite 7001-T6 Alloy Poles are easily identified when you start pitching and, as the poles are alloy, they help to reduce the trail weight while retaining a robust structure.

• Durable 70D PU backed polyester groundsheet that's durable and easy to clean with a waterproof 6,000mm HH rating
• Bathtub groundsheet that extends 10cm up the inner tent to keep you dry in harsh weather
• TBSII - Unique to Vango tents, our Tension Band System creates a triangulated shape inside the tent to brace against strong and changeable winds and reduce sideways deformation. TBSII is easy to adjust and can be securely stowed when not in use.
• High visibility reflective guylines that are easy to see in low light conditions
