For a long time, the Vango HexAway Air Awning has been one of our favourites. No other awning is better when it comes to creating the perfect additional living area for your campervan. The new HexAway Pro features Vango’s new Pro fabric which is made from recycled plastic bottles, while it is more Eco friendly it also has 420 double ripstop threads running throughout the material to increase the strength and durability of the fabric. A single inflation point makes the awning simple to pitch, but there are multiple deflation points situated around the awning so that it is also a dream to pack away.

The tunnel that connects the awning to the vehicle has two doors built onto it. This enables you to enter the van without having to go into the main body of the awning every time. An optional sun canopy can be clipped onto the awning to give more shelter outside and if you are looking to increase your sleeping capacity a freestanding bedroom can be put up inside of the awning. The HexAway has a clip-in groundsheet which overlaps to give the feeling of it being sewn-in but has the flexibility of being removed when not needed. Headroom is one thing that the HexAway delivers in spades and it helps to make the awning feel bigger than it actually is. Vango have made sure to include lots of features in the awning, such as their amazing SkyTrack’ system which allows you to have a hanging point anywhere in the awning. An extra Skylight is situated in the main body to allow in more natural light and the other crystal-clear windows are still in place to allow perfect visibility on the campsite, plus the zip-up curtains give you excellent privacy when needed.

Overall, we love the HexAway Pro as it really feels like a gazebo for your motorhome and because of its dome like shape, it not only gives you lots of space inside but is resilient against the elements.
