The Easy Camp Wimberly Awning is unbeatable value for money. Space is the one thing that this driveaway isn’t lacking and we see this as the perfect first awning to get yourself familiar with what camping is all about. Designed to fit vehicles with an attachment height of 180 – 205cm, the Wimberly will fit the majority of campervans. The awning has a small pack weight/size thanks to the lightweight 12.7mm Fibreglass Poles and an extra bracing pole provides an ample structure when the awning is up. The Wimberly is all about getting the core basics right without any frills. Simple to pitch, all you need to do is put the awning into a rail (or use the throwover guyropes), thread the poles and peg it out (why not check out our Attwoolls pitching video?).

Made from a lightweight polyester material, the fabric has a 3,000mm HH waterproof rating and is 260cm x 310cm in the main body. The tunnel section comes out an additional 60cm which is just enough to allow the sliding door to pass by the awning. The Wimberly even has a canopy over the front door to stop the rain from dripping into the tent and because the door is flat you can really maximise your internal space. If required an optional bedroom can be put inside of the awning to sleep extra guests.

A full-sized Velcro-up groundsheet provides a waterproof base but with the flexibility of being able to be removed should the campsite owner ask. The front door can be rolled up to open the awning to the elements and zipped shut when the rains come down. Low level ventilation points on each side of the tunnel help to increase air flow and reduce condensation A fixing kit is highly recommended as it allows the awning to be detached with ease when driving the van away.
