Dometic's Residence Air Full Awnings remain the perfect solution for the camper looking for a simple to pitch full awning, now for the 2025 season Dometic has introduced a touring version of this awning that is lighter weight while keeping the ruggedness intact - the Residence Air Tour Full Awning!

This awning carries over nearly every feature and packages it up with a Weathershield™ Tour bow on top. Don't be fooled however, this new awning has more than a fresh coat of paint. The all-new Weathershield™ Tour fabric features a rip-stop polyester thread woven into the fabric to help strengthen the material against sharp objects. The fabric is still premium at 300 denier, and has been treated with an increased waterproofing level for more consistent weather protection throughout. Additionally Dometic's use of dope-dyeing has vastly reduced the amount of water used in the dyeing process. As these fibres are dyed before they're spun the colour persists fully throughout the fabric, this reduces the visual effect of UV fading on the awning and keeps them looking good as new for longer!

Thanks to Dometic's use of a Single Point Inflation oversized air frame, this awning remains a breeze to pitch and pack away time after time. The included Gale 12V Electric Air Pump can be attached to the SI valve and left to inflate to the correct pressure (11psi), at which point it automatically shuts off. Tube-specific deflation points keep packing away times down by ensuring no trapped air is left in the system.

Space is one thing that this awning is not short of thanks to the deeper than standard 275cm depth, the extra space combined with the boxy design of the awning allows you to maximise every inch of the space meaning that furniture can be closer to the sides rather than restricting your living area. As the awning range spans several sizes for all manner of caravans it should mean that no one has to miss out on not being able to own one. Providing your ‘A Measurements’ is between 890-1040cm then you are good to go (Size 11 to 16). The awning feels bigger in every aspect including the height; Dometic have utilised their Dual Pitch Roof to increase water flow off the roof and raise the height of the roof to make the awning feel spacious.

Dometic have really thought about every detail of the awning; this is obvious when you look at the optional extras that are available for the awning. For example, the veranda pole which you can purchase doubles up as a front to rear hanging rail, or as an extra support for when you leave the awning unattended for longer spells (an optional FootPlate can be purchased separately). Why not also add a Cushioned Carpet or Mesh Panels to give you a comfier base and a bug free environment to truly enjoy the awning? If for any reason you need more space you can always add an extra annexe which, as standard, comes with an extra bedroom to sleep guests and can be attached to either (or both) sides of the awning.

The awning can be made more manageable thanks to the option of zipping out all the panels, meaning that there is less weight to feed directly through the awning rail and as the Residence comes in two bags you can distribute the weight & size around the caravan to suit your storage problems.
