History of TELTA
TELTA was founded by Mark Lawless and Anders Outzen, two entrepreneurs who share a passion for the outdoors and a deep understanding of the caravan and motorhome market.
Their journey began when they identified a gap in the market for high-quality, innovative inflatable awnings that could meet the practical needs of modern campers while offering style and durability. Drawing on their combined experience in design, engineering, and outdoor living, Mark and Anders set out to create a brand that would redefine the camping experience - Telta was born.
If their names sound familiar, there's a reason for this. Mark founded Kampa in 2007, and his Dad founded Sunncamp in 1982. The Kampa brand was sold to Dometic in 2018, and Mark remained the sole product developer until 2020.
Fast-forward to 2022, TELTA was born and launched into the UK and Danish markets, pioneering inflatable awnings for caravans and motorhomes. With over 40 years of experience, Mark and Anders aimed to improve all essential features of awnings and remove complex and unnecessary parts to create quality awnings that only varied in size, shape, and front panel configuration.
