A beautiful white sand beach that is hidden from view. It’s a ½ mile walk from Stackpole (where there is a wonderful café) and is surrounded by pine trees and dunes.

A truly wonderful spot that is ideal for picnics and when the tide is out, space for beach games for all the family.

The Uists, Outer Hebrides, Scotland

Head over the Western Isles of Scotland and stop off at South Uist. You’ll need to purchase an OS map to find the remote local beaches.

If you’re looking for the less remote spot, try Berneray on North Uist or Homore on South Uist at the hostels run by Gatliff Trust. There are kitchens and hot showers.
