2024 was a busy year for us, with the completion of our ‘Whitminster Lodge’ renovation project and the addition of our children’s playground, which families will enjoy for years to come.

2024 Recap

Awning Display Expansion

As Awnings and Driveways have become more popular, we have expanded our showroom offering for caravan, motorhome, and van users. We now have 50 awnings on display, which visitors can see to help them choose the right product.

Completion of Whitminster Lodge

We completed one of our side projects this year, which started in 2023. Whitminster Lodge is the house located next to the business and has been home to the Attwoolls family since 1936. It has now been brought back to life and fully renovated. Welcoming its first wedding in September 2024, we plan to use the house for Airbnb accommodation and celebrations, bringing joy to families and friends, as it did to us over many years!

Storefront Development

This year, we introduced the much-loved playground outside the coffee shop. Now, we have a bright and safe place for children to enjoy when visiting the coffee shop and showroom. We also added picnic seating to provide an outdoor space during the summer months and bike racks for customers who wish to cycle to the store.

Click and Collect

To help marry our online and in-store offerings, we introduced Click and Collect as an option for our customers. This has been successful for both the business and customers, making shopping with Attwoolls easy, fast, and convenient for customers who want products immediately.

Attwoolls Coffee Shop closure

Sadly, at the end of the year, we say goodbye to the current management of the Attwoolls Coffee shop. Shirley and the team have brought happiness and hard work to the cafe over 12 incredible years. We would like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support and for sharing many smiles and coffees! Read on to the 2025 goals to see what we have in store for the space next year!

2025 Goals

EV charging points

With many customers coming from all over the UK, we aim to introduce Electric Vehicle charging points. Being more eco-conscious as a business is at the forefront, and this will allow more customers with hybrid or fully electric cars to visit without the worry of knowing where to charge.

New Coffee Shop

In 2024, we made the difficult decision to close our Coffee shop. As of January, we will be renting the space to a new, independent cafe called ‘The Warren’ at Attwoolls. Charlotte and her team will take over the reins with fresh ideas and a new menu. We hope you will continue to support the new coffee shop in 2025, and we’re excited to see what she brings to the table.

New Hiking and equipment brand in-store

Mountain Equipment will soon be available in-store at Attwoolls Outdoors. Founded in 1961, the company aims to provide expert mountain clothing and equipment for climbing, hiking, and adventure seekers. We will be stocking clothing and mountain equipment, so stay tuned on our social channels for the launch in-store.

In-post Lockers

We plan to introduce In-Post lockers in the Attwoolls car park. These secure, lockable lockers will allow users to send and collect parcels. Available 24/7, these lockers will enable current and new customers to send and receive parcel deliveries in the Whitminster area conveniently.

Tent Testing Space

From warranty claims to repair queries, we plan to introduce a tent testing space to quickly diagnose and address faults with the provision and support our busy after-sales department. With a dedicated testing space installed, our excellent team will be better equipped to provide faster, more efficient service.

Caravan Storage

Ideal for Seasonal caravanners, in 2025, we plan to offer secure caravan storage. You will no longer need to worry about keeping your caravan safe and protected on your drive; simply drop off your caravan and pick it up when adventure calls! Available for annual storage, we’re excited to offer this service to make your travel experience as smooth as possible.
